MIDDLETOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — The State of Connecticut has declared a state of emergency as the Hurricane Sandy “Frankenstorm” approaches.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed the declaration of emergency late Saturday morning.
The order allows the governor to suspend state statutes and regulations, order civil preparedness forces into action, and designate vehicular and person routes.
